About Hannah

Hannah’s Biography

Hannah Reid is the People Director of Europe, Middle East, India and Africa at Apple, where she has partnered with over 17 lines of business, including Apple’s largest revenue stream, Channel sales and responsibility for 127 retail stores.  During her tenure, she has been a lead on major projects across the region, including creating people strategies,  succession planning, learning and development programs and a number of people initiatives spanning all lines of business in EMEA. Hannah has served as site leader at Battersea, where she led on the creation of the site strategies for Battersea and Bishopsgate and co-launched community and culture week, which she scaled to include Dubai the following year. Hannah is also executive sponsor of Black @Apple UK and extended Black @Apple leadership worldwide, where she amplifies black talent, fosters new community partnerships and embeds inclusion, including through Apple’s services such as Apple TV+, reaching millions of customers.

Hannah has over twenty years of experience in Human Resources. She has held several senior roles in HR, including Senior Director of EMEA at the world’s largest research company, Gartner and Head of HR for the City of London Police, where she was one of the highest-ranking black civilians in the UK Police service. 

Hannah is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development – awarded to the top 10% of HR senior leaders in the UK- and a sought-after speaker and Judge at international conferences and industry awards, including the Precious Awards, Make a Difference Summit and British HR Awards. Hannah has served on many boards, choosing to partner with a diverse set of institutions. Hannah is currently on several boards, including The Residency at the South Bank Centre and the Editorial Board of HRD magazine. Her board work has included partnering with educational institutions and local Government to secure funding for programs that helped fund a tech hub in the North of England, celebrating career paths for underrepresented talent to thrive. 

Hannah has received many accolades throughout her career, including 2025 EMpower Top 10 Executive role models’ list, which recognises 100 senior leaders globally who role model and advance inclusion and diversity and most recently made the 2026 Powerlist recognising Britain’s most influential men and women of African, Caribbean and African American heritage.
