Founded by Cynthia Davis in 2015, we are Black female majority-owned and committed to creating a fair and just society where everyone has equal access to opportunities. We believe in challenging the status quo to provide inclusive employment processes, which is why we partner with a broad range of companies to provide the tools, insights and audience needed to make real and tangible progress.
We work with candidates from ALL backgrounds, including but not limited to, those from underrepresented communities. We are a champion for candidates with protected characteristics; these include race, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy, age, religion – as well as working parents and women in leadership.
UK Black Business Week will be vital in strengthening black professionals Tech, finance, media, culture and sport, with speakers from the most senior leaders to innovative thinkers. Our vision is to bring black business owners and professionals in some of the leading industries together to ensure innovation, change within these industries. We will continue to be the platform to encourage black professionals to thrive and educate and encourage allies of the black community to support our visions.
Coding Black Females is the largest network of black female developers in the UK. Established in 2017, we are a non-profit organisation with the aim to grow and inspire the community of black female developers.
We have regular meetups to provide a safe space to learn, have discussions, network, share knowledge and showcase our talents.
We want our members at the beginning of their careers to see that the tech industry is accessible, whilst enabling our experienced members to share their knowledge, use their skills, and provide support/mentorship to other members of the community.
This is a free community that supports women on their career growth. It’s a blend of social networking, online events, a brand-new jobs board and a content portal that will enable them to get support and burst into a career of their choice. It is free to join, and we have partnered with Facebook to grow this fantastic community of women in tech.
