Working together to protect us all

Your safety and that of all our guests and staff is our highest priority.

Our COVID Commitment

We want to make it as easy as possible for anyone to attend our events, and we will use a common-sense approach to ensure you can visit the events with confidence.

For enhanced safety, and peace of mind, TLA Black Women In Tech has added some additional measures and we ask everyone in attendance to adhere to our COVID Commitment which outlines the measures in place before, upon arrival and during the events, to ensure you can attend with confidence.

In line with the latest government guidance, we have taken the decision to verify attendee COVID-19 status on arrival at the event (to include attendees, contractors, venue and organiser staff).

This means all attendees will need to demonstrate proof of COVID-19 status for entry to the event. This will need to be one of the following:

1) All attendees must be prepared to show proof of either

a) Proof of completion of a full course of vaccination two weeks prior to arrival via the NHS COVID Pass (NB This is different to the NHS COVID-19 Test and Trace app), EU Digital Pass or equivalent for internationals. It is advised individuals apply no later than 48 hours before attending their event to allow for the application to be processed in time.

OR

b) Lateral flow or PCR negative test results text or e-mail, received within 72 hours prior to attending the event. We will ask to see the NHS email or text message you received once you reported your result to the NHS. The fastest way to report your Lateral Flow Test result is online. We will not accept the physical test or a photo of the test.

If attendees would prefer not to use the app or do not have a smartphone they can obtain a NHS COVID Pass letter (proving vaccination status only) by calling 119 or visiting the NHS website. Attendees with a medical exemption should advise a member of staff during the checking process.

OR

C) Proof of immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period.

If attendees would prefer not to use the app or do not have a smartphone they can obtain a NHS COVID Pass letter (proving vaccination status only) by calling 119 or visiting the NHS website. Attendees with a medical exemption should advise a member of staff during the checking process.

This will be checked before entry to the venue at which point no further checks will be required.

2) All attendees must agree NOT to attend if they answer YES to any of the following questions

  • Are you feeling unwell, including a high temperature, new continuous cough and a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste?
  • Are you currently required to isolate following a visit to an area or country where quarantine is required upon return?
  • Have you been told to self-isolate by a government test and trace service?
  • Is anyone in your household suffering with COVID-19 symptoms?
  • Have you been in close contact with anyone who has COVID-19 or anyone who has been showing symptoms?

3) All attendees must agree to leave immediately should they develop COVID-19 symptoms during the event.

4) All attendees must agree to be considerate to those around them at all times and respectful of all our Safety measures at the show.

If you do not agree to adhere to The Safety and Security Series COVID Commitment please email blackwomentech@3coloursrule.com

Safety Measures within the Event

Facemask While face masks will no longer be mandatory, we encourage attendees, and staff to take personal responsibility and to wear a face-covering in any situation which is crowded or while in close proximity to other people.

We do however recognise that there are circumstances preventing people from wearing a face covering and, being mindful and respectful of this, staff will not challenge or ask for evidence from attendees who advise that they cannot wear a face covering or who make the personal choice not to. We hope that all will be equally respectful.

Cleaning Frequent and thorough cleaning of public areas, toilets and touchpoints around the venue
handwash Hand sanitiser and/or handwashing facilities will be provided throughout the venue. We recommend you bring your own supply as well.
