Shelley Bishton

I am a senior commercial and culture leader with over 20 years of experience building growth and reputation through audience strategy, brand partnerships, communications and enterprise change.
My career has been shaped by a deep understanding of how media, partnerships, brand strategy and culture intersect to drive performance, relevance and long-term value. I have led high-impact partnership models, loyalty strategies and brand collaborations generating multi-million-pound revenue, strengthening audience connection and delivering sustained commercial growth.
I was selected to lead organisation-wide DEI and cultural transformation at News UK because of this commercial and strategic experience, ensuring culture change was embedded into business priorities, editorial integrity, audience trust and company strategy, rather than operating as a standalone initiative. This work has included leading enterprise-wide programmes across 3,000+ employees, improving representation, engagement and leadership accountability while protecting brand credibility in a highly scrutinised media environment.
Alongside my executive roles, I am a trustee of the Black British Initiative and a regular speaker on leadership, culture and commercial influence. I am particularly interested in how leaders build partnerships that are culturally intelligent, commercially resilient and authentically connected to the audiences and communities they serve.
At my core, I am driven by the belief that the strongest partnerships – and the most effective cultures – are built when commercial ambition, human insight and strategic clarity work together.
