Few communications professionals operate at the level Eduvie Martin does across three simultaneous arenas: as a senior leader inside one of the world’s largest companies, as an executive at Africa’s biggest creative studio, and as a driving force within the global communications profession. Eduvie is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPR, Past President of IABC UK and Ireland, and Regional Chair of the IABC EMENA Gold Quill. At British American Tobacco, a FTSE 10 global company, she leads internal communications for five Management Board members and their sub-functions, reaching 42,000 colleagues across 200 markets. She simultaneously serves as Executive Director of Marketing and Communications for Comic Republic, Africa’s largest comic book and animation studio. Her academic credentials are exceptional. A WeLeadComms honoree, Masters qualified from IE Business School Madrid with ten distinctions, she studied broadcast journalism at the New York Film Academy, holds a Diploma in PR from the CIPR and a Digital Marketing certificate from London Business School. Her industry recognition includes Internal Communications Professional of the Year at the Google-sponsored Pro Awards, IABC Chapter Leader of the Year 2025, Best Internal Comms Rising Star at the Gallagher Awards, and PR Woman of the Month from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations. In 2025, Comic Republic launched an African superhero origin story on Warner Bros TV, partnered with Meta on a campaign tackling misinformation, and drove global visibility for African superheroes through strategic storytelling across five continents.
