Dionne Watts-Williams

I know what it feels like to be brilliant and overlooked.
I grew up surrounded by storytellers. The church mothers who could paint a picture with a single phrase. The community leaders who rallied people with conviction. The women in my family who worked twice as hard and still went unseen. Those voices shaped me – and taught me early on that words carry power.
That power is what I’ve built my career on.
For 25 years I’ve helped people and organizations find the right words to open doors, shift perception, and create opportunity. I’ve worked everywhere from publishing houses and City Hall to nonprofits, higher ed, and national organizations.
Along the way, I’ve:
– Produced several dozen signature events and generated six-figures in event revenue
– Written and optimized hundreds of websites for small businesses at scale
– Led citywide and statewide rebranding and communications initiatives that impacted thousands
– Taught marketing and branding to service- and product-based entrepreneurs
But here’s the truth: my proudest work is helping Black women leaders stop being invisible in rooms they’ve already earned the right to be in.
Through personal branding, LinkedIn positioning, and executive communications coaching, I teach these women how to articulate their brilliance, build thought leadership, and step into opportunities that match their value. My clients have landed director and VP roles, booked paid speaking engagements, grown revenue, boosted salaries, and are finally been recognized for what they bring to the table.
What I do best:
– Build authentic brand stories that attract promotions, contracts, recognition, and stage time
– Strengthen executive and internal communications for leaders and organizations
– Deliver keynotes and workshops on LinkedIn strategy, storytelling, and leadership visibility
Who I work with:
– Black women entrepreneurs, CEOs, and executives ready to own their voice, show up confidently – and be seen, booked, and well-paid -without sacrificing their mental, emotional, and physical health.
– Professional organizations serving women of color who want a powerful speaker or trainer
