Morenike Fadoju, also known as Renny, is not your typical software engineer. She is a dynamic problem solver with a unique flair for creativity that distinguishes her in the tech industry. Renny holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham. However, after graduation, she discovered the limitless opportunities for entrepreneurship and creativity in technology, which inspired her to make a bold career shift.
Determined to enter the tech field without following the conventional route of obtaining a computer science degree or paying for training courses, Renny took the initiative to learn programming on her own, focusing on Python. She also benefited from mentoring through her university’s alumni mentoring programme.
After landing an entry-level software engineering position at Made Tech, her self-driven approach continued to yield impressive results. Renny quickly became proficient in various programming languages and technologies, including JavaScript, C#, Git, Docker, SQL, and Test-Driven Development, contributing to her professional growth. She has collaborated with numerous project teams, tackling complex challenges and crafting innovative solutions that leave a lasting impact on clients.
Renny’s talents go beyond coding and problem-solving; she has a deep passion for storytelling and art that fuels her aspirations beyond software engineering. As an aspiring music producer, she has started sharing her musical creations on her SoundCloud profile, showcasing her artistic abilities. Currently, she is channelling her creativity into an exciting new personal endeavour: developing video games as an aspiring game producer.
Renny’s journey is an unfolding story of the power of curiosity, creativity, and the relentless pursuit of one’s passions.
