Magdalene Amegashitsi is a senior manager in Digital Advisory at Avanade, a Global Tech Consultancy, with over 12 years’ experience in Data and hands-on experience in delivering intelligent solutions to help businesses unlock value in data. With a background in Data Science and experience leading small to medium size teams, Magda has held various roles in Data & AI, Advisory, Data Strategy, Data Governance and Digital Ethics.
Being a strong advocate for Women into Tech and into Leadership, Magda led the setup of the Women’s Employee Network (EN) in 2019 for Avanade UK and Ireland and successfully leveraged that position to support and inspire 150+ active members with the vision to accelerate the progress of Women, build community and driving personal and professional growth. Magda empowers others internally and externally through mentorship support, hosting Webinars and leading the Business to engage in Charities that support girls from less privilege backgrounds in the UK.
In 2023, Magda assumed the role of co-chair of the Women’s Employee Network Group for the Europe Chapter in Avanade, overseeing the network group across 16 countries and driving strategies that empowers the leadership of the local leads to grow.
Within the Tech Industry, Magda is recognised as a Role Model. In 2019, she was selected among over 330 participants to be one of 6 to be recognised as a Role Model and an Ambassador for the Tech Talent Charter’s (TTC) ‘Doing It Anyway’ Campaign. The Talent Charter is a government-supported, industry-led membership group that brings together 700+ Signatory organisations and equips them with the networks and resources to drive their diversity and inclusion efforts. Magda supports the TTC on several initiatives aimed to encourage women into Tech and leadership. In addition to that, in 2022, Magda was nominated, shortlisted and won the ‘TechWomen100 Award 2022’ by WeAreTheCity, and was also shortlisted for the ‘Employee of the Year Award 2023’ by the Black Tech Achievements Awards.
