As a Cameroonian, Lynne’s diverse upbringing fuelled her ambition to bridge the gap in STEM opportunities, especially for girls in Africa. Her journey took a significant turn when she ventured to the United States to pursue higher education at Texas Tech University. There, she delved deep into the realms of Electrical Engineering, honing her skills and nurturing her love for technology.
Upon graduation, Lynne embarked on a mission to make a difference. She joined Barclays as an Infrastructure Engineer, a role that allowed her to blend her technical expertise with her advocacy for diversity in tech. Lynne worked diligently on the Network Engineering team, focusing on network security, firewall management, and using tools to optimise performance, enhance security, automate tasks, and ensure reliable network operations.
In addition to her primary duties, Lynne’s passion extended beyond her workplace. She co-founded an organization back in Cameroon dedicated to mentoring and exposing young girls to the vast opportunities in technology. Through that organisation, Lynne continues to inspire, guide, and encourage girls to pursue their tech dreams fearlessly.
