Gertrude’s Biography

Gertrude was born and raised in Zambia and currently resides in Sweden. She works as a Developer Advocate at Qlik and host of the Tech Girl Podcast. She is passionate about advocating for diversity in tech as well as supporting and encouraging more people with diverse backgrounds to take up tech-related careers.

Before joining Qlik, Gertrude worked as a marketing developer and held various roles in marketing and communications.

Gertrude holds a Master of Science in Media and Communications from Lund University, and a Bachelor in Mass Communication from the University of Zambia as well as various software development certifications.

She is a Board member at DevNetwork and sits on the Developer Evangelist/Advocate Advisory Board.

Outside of work, Gertrude enjoys doing yoga, reading, and spending quality time with her son.
