Frida ‘s Biography

Frida Akin-Taylor is an award-winning engineer, senior consultant at Capgemini Invent, and passionate advocate for STEM education and diversity. With over a decade of experience in Aerospace and Defence, Frida has led high-impact transformation projects, saved millions and enhanced operational efficiency.

Her journey from bottom set science student to Rolls-Royce apprentice and now tech leader reflects her resilience and determination. Frida is the founder of Edu-Cater Global, a non-profit bridging the gap between education and industry, and actively mentors aspiring engineers while promoting apprenticeships as powerful pathways into STEM.

She holds professional recognition as an Engineering Technician (EngTech) and has received multiple honours, including the IMechE Alastair Graham-Bryce Award and the Precious Awards Outstanding Woman in STEM. Frida brings a unique blend of technical expertise and community leadership, empowering the next generation to see themselves in engineering and tech.
