Esther’s Biography

A passionate advocate for diversity in technology, Esther is a Software Engineer at Mastercard making significant contributions in cloud computing with a strong specialisation in security within AWS. Currently pursuing an MSc in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence, her journey into Technology was ignited by an Introduction to Python Programming course with Code First Girls and further accelerated by the AWS re/Start programme, even though her background is in Psychology. Driven by a desire to leverage technology for meaningful solutions, Esther has applied her skills in areas such as infrastructure security and automation to impactful projects within the Higher Education and Energy sectors. Her robust technical foundation, built through these foundational programmes and ongoing studies, is validated by multiple AWS certifications, as well as other key industry certifications. Driven by her own unique path, Esther is deeply committed to inspiring other Black women and girls to discover the boundless possibilities within technology. She believes that diverse voices are crucial in shaping the future of Technology and actively encourages others to explore its limitless possibilities.
