Charlene’s Biography

Charlene Chigumira is a global partnerships and marketing leader based in the Wirral, United Kingdom. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, she moved to the UK at nineteen and has since built a career spanning healthcare, advertising, and global technology organisations. Charlene currently leads global partnerships marketing at Thoughtworks, working across hyperscalers and data platforms to shape international go-to-market strategy. She previously held senior roles at organisations including Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she also led the Black Employee Network Skills and Experience team, supporting career growth and visibility for Black talent. A 2025 Channel Marketing Excellence Award winner, Charlene is passionate about representation, mentorship, and creating space for Black women to thrive. Her work is rooted in curiosity, cultural connection, and the belief that powerful careers do not need linear paths.
