Boniswa’s Biography

Boniswa Yende is a pioneering Black woman from South Africa whose journey from her hometown to Ireland and eventually to London has been marked by her drive for new experiences, growth, and the determination to make her mark in the technology space. Known for her work in Technology Risk Assurance, Boniswa has carved her own path in an industry that traditionally has been male-dominated, particularly for women of color. Her story is one of resilience, empowerment, and breaking barriers in the technology sector.

She has worked within Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, Telecoms, Public sector, Manufacturing and various sectors within Technology Risk Assurance. 

As a Black woman in a predominantly white, male-dominated industry, Boniswa has consistently used her platform to advocate for greater diversity and representation in technology. She is deeply committed to inspiring the next generation of Black women to pursue tertiary education and she mentors young students and offers guidance to those seeking to navigate the complex world of technology & business. She is an active participant in initiatives that support underprivileges individuals from her hometown in South Africa to further their education, apply for scholarships and assist them with preparing for their future careers.
