About Beatrice

Beatrice’s Biography

Beatrice Olatunbosun is a Full Stack Software Developer, creative storyteller, and relentless advocate for the overlooked. With a unique journey that bridges technology, social justice, and creative expression, she’s passionate about building solutions—and telling stories—that center people too often left out of the conversation.

Her story begins in Nigeria at just 12 years old, when she witnessed a man using a skateboard as a wheelchair, sparking a lifelong question: What happens to the people the world forgets to build for?

Driven by that question, Beatrice pursued a degree in Politics and Sociology—choosing to understand the systems that shape our world before diving into the tools that could change them. Though she didn’t take the conventional path into tech, she was never afraid to forge her own. She entered the industry with a point to prove and a purpose that ran deeper than code.

Today, Beatrice has built web solutions for clients such as Sky and the NHS. Her experience also includes time as a Finance Actuary at Pension Insurance Corporation, where she designed automation models. But Beatrice is more than her job titles. She’s dedicated to exploring silenced societal issues demonstrated through her research on how technological change reinforces inequalities faced by Black women which earned her a 94% score—an academic milestone that spotlighted the blind spots of innovation when inclusion is an afterthought, and demonstrates her passion for storytelling as a tool for advocacy.

In everything she does—whether it’s writing, coding, or mentoring—Beatrice is guided by a simple belief: Tech without inclusion leaves too many behind. She’s committed to changing that.
