Amber’s Biography

Amber Idumwonyi Makinwa is a Lead Automation QA Engineer at IBM and the founder of Lyfebites Enterprise and Mentorship Program (LEMP), a platform dedicated to supporting underrepresented individuals into sustainable careers in technology. With over eight years of experience in quality engineering, she specialises in test strategy, automation, and the practical application of AI driven testing solutions.

Amber is an accomplished speaker with a diverse portfolio of engagements. She has delivered technical talks including Smarter Testing with AI: From Self-Healing Scripts to Visual Intelligence at the IBM EMEA CIC sumIT 2025 and is an AWS New Voices speaker. Alongside her work in technology, she also speaks on personal development and marriage enrichment, supporting couples in building resilient and thriving relationships.

Her leadership and impact have been recognised through multiple industry and leadership awards, including Women in Tech Excellence Role Model of the Year and Hero of the Year, Business UK Non-Profit Businesswoman of the Year, IBM CIC UK Diversity and Inclusion Role Model of the Year, IBM Role Model Award, and multiple AWS Re Invent All Builders Grant awards.
