Krystle McGilvery, ACMA, CGMA MiP, Founder Mind Over Money and KM Consultancy
Krystle is well-known for her enthusiasm, positivity, and unique approach to financial education. She uses behavioural finance to improve the confidence and financial acumen of aspiring people. Krystle provides business consultancy and financial coaching. She helps individuals and founders improve their financial capability and confidence by tackling the blockages that appear when trying to grow.
Krystle is known for connecting money to the mind as the starting point for improving financial dexterity and improving financial decision making. Through her company Mind Over Money, Krystle provides courses, workshops, and content to help people develop their financial acumen, consider their beliefs and behaviours, and improve self-efficacy.
Krystle approaches financial education from a place of forgiveness, acceptance, and positivity, allowing people the freedom to start from scratch where necessary. Her talks and workshops on finance and behaviour are often described as fun, and very easy to understand. Krystle provides an open and engaging environment for people to learn, reflect and develop their thinking.
Mind Over Money also partners with organisations to deliver finance education to their clients and staff. Past clients include Birkbeck University, StepChange, General Assembly, and The Scouts. Krystle has appeared in the Telegraph newspaper, featured in Refinery29 and BBC Radio on several occasions. Krystle recently partnered with Boots No7 and AllBright to build a finance course for women coming out of the pandemic. She is also a finance writer and has written for the likes of Motley Fool.
After reading Financial Mathematics at university, Krystle worked as a qualified Chartered Accountant for over 15 years with companies in the creative spaces of PR, advertising, marketing, and technology – being responsible for managing the finances of million-pound businesses. Krystle has been supporting people through education and mentoring and is widely known as the approachable finance expert, motivational speaker, and biggest cheerleader. She is currently reading Behavioural and Economic Science at the university of Warwick.
Krystle provides mentoring to women through Like-Minded Females and the Women of Colour Global Network. Krystle is also a creative who loves to draw portraits using graphite and charcoal, dance and cook.
