Imisioluwa Fakunle is a second-year Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence student at the University of Leeds, Co-Founder of Proactive (an organisation that encourages mentorship between sixth form and university students) and Non-Executive Director at Econominds (a technology- education startup).
She is the winner of the Talent 2030 National Engineering Competition for Girls in 2019 and has worked across six different including Technology, Life Sciences, Supply Chain and Procurement through internships prior to her second year of university.
She is a committed advocate of taking initiative and believes strongly in mentorship and giving back to community. Technology, to her, is a crucial avenue for new opportunities for innovation and creativity that provides people with services that will allow them to be more efficient and spend more time on rewarding tasks. Therefore, as a business and technology enthusiast, Imisi believes that the sky is the limit and aims to make a positive impact on society.
Her key competencies include leadership, emotional intelligence, and public speaking as well as in-depth knowledge of languages (Yoruba and Mandarin Chinese) and programming languages (C, Java, Python, HTML, and CSS).
