Gertrude’s Biography

Thank you for reading my story and visiting my page.

Gertrude was born and raised in Zambia and moved to Sweden in 2014. She currently works as Junior Developer Advocate at Qlik, an active intelligence platform. In her spare time, Gertrude uses her social media platforms to advocate for diversity in tech as well as support and encourage minority groups especially women of colour to take up tech-related careers. 

Before joining Qlik, Gertrude worked as a marketing developer and held various roles in marketing and communications. 

Gertrude holds Msc. in Media and Communications from Lund University, a B.mc in Mass Communication from the University of Zambia as well as a frontend development certification. 

She is a Board member at DevNetwork and sits on the Developer Evangelist/Advocate Advisory Board.

She was a moderator at Startup Live 2022, South Sweden’s biggest startup annual event.

Outside work, Gertrude enjoys doing yoga, reading and spending quality time with her son.
