Dayo is the Founder and CEO of Wisdom, a new VC-funded, social audio app on a mission to democratise access to mentorship and create an open community centered on conversational knowledge-sharing. Wisdom is the world’s largest audio-powered mentoring platform and was named Apple’s App Store App of the Day and has been featured in TechCrunch and a number of App Store recommended lists.
Dayo began her career as an IT Management Consultant at Accenture and Deloitte & Touche, where she managed global financial transformation projects at organisations including the London Stock Exchange, UBS and the UK Ministry Of Defence. During this time, she gained professional certifications in PRINCE 2 project management, IBM Cognos Business Intelligence, ITIL and Java.
Then, driven by the lack of diversity in London’s tech ecosystem, she joined the founding team of OneTech, London’s largest diversity in startups programme, where she consulted for leading tech accelerators like StartupBootCamp and Techstars to increase diversity of their founder cohorts. Dayo is frequently requested to educate organisations on improving diversity, her speaking engagements include the UK Govt Department for International Development, Uber, Google, Starling Bank and Oxford Said Business School.
Subsequently, after spotting a market gap, she found her first startup, Africlick, a cultural dating app targeting 1 billion Africans globally. In recognition of her efforts, she was listed in the Global Dating Insights Women In Dating Powerbook, celebrating the 20 most inspirational and influential women in the dating industry alongside the likes of Bumble’s CEO Whitney Wolfe.
Dayo holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Manchester and an M.Sc. in Technology from University College London. She was included in the Financial Times Top 100 Most Influential Ethnic Minority Leaders in Tech and has shared tech expertise in publications including the BBC, ZDNet and TechCrunch.
