Dara Solomon is a user and customer experience thought leader and expert, entrepreneur, and teacher. In her current role as Global VP of Professional Services and User Research at UserTesting, Dara partners with C-suite executives with some of the world’s most respected brands to bring their vision of more customer-centric experiences to life.

Dara has worked in every aspect of web and system development over her 10-year career in user research and consulting. Her methodical approach to human factors, market research, and usability has resulted in the delivery of user-focused solutions with compelling user experiences for both small and large companies across a variety of industries. In her capacity as a user experience consultant, Dara partnered with an extensive list of clients, including The Ritz-Carlton, After Hours, Blackbaud, Harris Teeter, Publix, Bellsouth, Accenture, XM Radio, JP Morgan, Corporate Express, TSYS, SunTrust Bank, Texas Instruments, Astra Merck, Breathnet, PrintLife, InterContential Hotel Group and the National Aerospace Laboratory in Japan.

In addition to her professional achievements, Dara shares her experience with aspiring user research professionals as a faculty member at The Art Institute of Atlanta (AiA). Dara teaches Introduction to HTML, Project Management, Information Architecture, Internet Marketing (includes Social Media and Search Engine Optimization), and a Usability course. In her courses, Dara strives to provide her students with real-world applications of theory taught in class.

Dara holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering with a concentration in Human Factors from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. In addition to these degrees, she has also earned the Professional Researchers Certification (PRC) with Market Research Associates. Dara’s byline has appeared in numerous conference proceedings as well as journals.

Dara currently lives with her family in Atlanta, GA.
