Damilola currently works as a Business Analyst at Cancer Research UK, where she also plays an active role as a Tech EDI Champion. She is passionate about technology, process improvement, people and advocating for more women that look like her occupying spaces in technology. Damilola has over five years of work experience that cuts across banking, consulting, technology, and charity industries, ranging from administrative, customer support, operations, project support and business analyst roles respectively.
Damilola holds a BSc in Business Administration from Houdegbe North America University Republic du Benin, a BA in International Business Management from London South Bank University, London, and an MSc in International Business from Ulster University. She has further completed some certifications such as six sigma yellow belt, scrum fundamentals, Tableau Essential Training and Business Analysis Foundations: Business Process Modelling. She is currently on a nine-month leadership program at her organisation focused on equipping professionals from ethnic minorities to be prepared and visible for leadership roles. This program has allowed her to build a network of like-minded individuals in her organisation and a Sponsorship relationship.
Currently, as a Business Analyst at Cancer Research UK, she defines requirements, documents process, identifies business needs amongst other day to day deliverables. As mentioned, Damilola is a Tech EDI champion at CRUK, has also served as an assessor for her company’s Grad Scheme Programme, and has published a blog post for International Women’s Day highlighting steps her organisation takes toward breaking the bias.
Outside her 9 -5, Damilola spends time volunteering for Charitable organisations that are dear to her. She currently sits as the head volunteer for Colourful Beginnings, a UK-based charity and is building an education centred charity.
