Amuche Ekemezie is an IT Professional and Senior Product Manager with over ten years of experience in leading cross-functional teams across Service Delivery, Product Development, Product Strategy, IT Business Analysis, Information Security, Business Process Automation, designing software applications, payment system integration and implementation within the Banking, Fintech and B2B Industries. In simple terms, she loves using technology to simplify business processes and how we make payments in order to maximise end-user satisfaction and adoption.
Having managed financial and payment products that accrued over £100M in revenue with over 500,000 user base exposed her to the importance & implications of cyber security, which encouraged her to go for her Masters in Cyber Security at the University of Hertfordshire after eleven years of leaving undergrad.
Outside of work, Amuche strongly believes in social responsibility & giving back as an essential part of a well-functioning society as she contributes to it through volunteering, mentoring & community involvement. In addition, she is passionate about improving the gender disparity within the technology industry and sharing information that can help them advance their technology careers and dreams. Ultimately, she firmly believes that every young woman can aspire for a role in tech; the more women in tech, the merrier.
Amuche serves as an ambassador to International Women in Tech(IWT) and a Mentor with Wentors, an organisation committed to providing a platform geared towards bridging the massive gender disparity within the industry. In addition, she is an ambassador at STEM Learning UK, where she speaks and shares her journey with young people who are considering towing a path in STEM. She is also a Member of AnitaB.org, an organisation devoted to advancing women in Technology Innovation fields. She served as a member of AnitaB.org’s Membership Committee and Grace Hopper Celebration(GHC) Scholarship Reviewer.
