About The Germany Chapter
The Germany Chapter of GTA Black Women in Tech is a growing community dedicated to elevating and empowering Black women across the German tech ecosystem. While this chapter is still developing, our mission remains clear: to inspire, support, and connect Black women so they can thrive in one of Europe’s most dynamic technology landscapes.
As part of GTA Black Women in Tech, a global NGO based in London, we work to create opportunities by enabling talented Black women to flourish and helping tech organisations embed genuine diversity and inclusion into their culture.
This chapter is in its early stages, and we’re actively building a local network through collaborations, digital initiatives, and partnerships with forward-thinking companies across Germany.

We’re thrilled to celebrate the launch of the Germany Chapter of GTA Black Women in Tech, a monumental milestone for our global community.
Partnering with AWS was a game-changer, reinforcing our commitment to creating space, visibility, and opportunity for Black women in tech across Germany.
The launch event was filled with energy and inspiration. Hosted at SumUp’s offices, we witnessed firsthand how creativity and collaboration are transforming payment technology. The visit to GovTech added another spark, showcasing groundbreaking public innovation, from digital identity systems to smart city solutions, demonstrating Germany’s commitment to technology that serves the public good.
It was an unforgettable experience: a celebration of innovation, community, and possibility. This moment marks the beginning of something powerful as we build our presence and continue breaking barriers in Germany’s tech ecosystem.
